Misano Adriatico – The Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” proved to be a stronghold for Ducati teams. In a weekend filled with excitement and fierce competition in the WorldSBK championship, the MGM Optical Express Racing team and Tarran Mackenzie delivered a remarkable performance, achieving a top-level sporting result.
Riding a Ducati Panigale V4 R in superb form, perfectly prepared by the technical crew led by Michael Galinski, the Scottish rider delivered an exceptional race. Showing grit and determination throughout, Mackenzie crossed the finish line in an impressive fifth place, just behind Alex Lowes and close to the leading group headed by race winner Bulega.
This result confirms the outstanding development work carried out by the MGM team since the start of the season, as well as the strong synergy built between rider and team.
This fifth-place finish is not just a prestigious result—it marks a significant milestone. It represents Tarran’s best-ever result in the Superbike World Championship under dry conditions, showcasing pure speed and consistency that reward the team’s efforts.
The numbers from this season clearly highlight the strength of the MGM project: thanks to this excellent performance in Misano, Mackenzie has secured his tenth top-10 finish of the year, bringing his total to 81 points in the overall standings.
Enthusiasm is running high within the MGM Optical Express Racing garage. Reaching such a competitive level gives the team great confidence heading into the next rounds.
All eyes are now on Donington Park. It will be a particularly special event for Tarran, who will be racing on home soil, just ten minutes from his hometown. The team arrives full of energy, ready to fight once again and inspire their fans.
